Property Description

This beautiful modern 5 bedroomed/4 bathroom villa sleeps up to 10 people. It is situated on the outskirts of the white village of Frigiliana with magnificant views through the national park down to the coastline of Nerja. You can just stroll into the Frigiliana Village where there are many nice shops, restaurants and bars and so you don't even need a car to get to restaurants. Finished to a very high standard there is air-conditioning throughout, Games room with American sized pool table. Large sat TV with DVD. Stereo. Play station 2 console with some games. with sofabed and a private swimming pool and garden. Built on three levels with very open plan lounge/diner/kitchen with fire place, sat tv , DVD player, and patio doors to large terrace with private pool. Kitchen is fitted with all mod cons such as dishwasher, oven/hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and three have en suites with a full bathroom as well. Private car parking. Although this villa has 5 bedrooms we have reduced the price for a maximum of 6 people only occupying the villa. You can also see it advertised as a three bedroom on ref 1260. There is also a garden and a bbq with outside sink, etc. Sunbeds are also supplied.

You can just stroll into the Frigiliana Village The village of Frigiliana, and particularly the historic part is a village of unparalleled beauty. The architecture recalls the pure Moorish style while respecting changes through the centuries. Thankfully, the people who live here enjoy showing their love for the town by their actions. They can be seen constantly white-washing their houses and cleaning their corners of the cobblestone streets and passageways, keeping them spotless in the same way as has been the custom for centuries. In the spring, the courtyards and patios and terraces are overflowing with flowers, which turn a stroll through town into a sweet-smelling dream. Everything they have done has earned the town well-deserved awards and honors making Frigiliana the most honored town in Axarquia.The first time you visit you will be overwhelmed and surprised at how beautiful and sparkling clean a village can be. To follow one of the many narrow passageways is to run the risk of succumbing to the enchantment of the streets. Nerja on the coast is only 10 kilometres away. Nerja a popular resort, readily accessible from Malaga and its international airport, with motorway access to within a mile of the town centre. Nestling in the foothills of the mountains, the old town, with its narrow, vehicle restricted, cobbled streets, offers a more relaxed holiday from that found in the big resorts further along the coast. With small picturesque bays, the famous 'Balcon de Europa' promenade, numerous small shops, bars and restaurants, and its wonderful all year round climate, Nerja has something for all seasons, especially for families and the more mature holiday maker. Local Excursions The Nerja Caves, one of Spain's biggest tourist attractions, are well worth a visit. A extensive network of fascinating underground caverns with the World's biggest stalactites, plus an auditorium and stage where the annual music and arts festival takes place. Nearby is Maro, a picturesque village with panoramic views across the sea and a small, secluded beach invisible from the cliff top. The mountains shelter many small attractive villages, notably Frigiliana with its restored Roman town and narrow vehiclefree cobbled streets. Further afield is the historic city of Grenada with its famous Alhambra Palace (prebooking advised). Malaga and beyond to Puerto Banus also provide a great day out, as do visits to Mijas, Antequara and the El Torcal National ParkNerja is on the seashore some 50 kilometres from Málaga on the N340 coastal highway, and marks the eastern tip of Málaga's Costa del Sol. Once a sleepy fishing village, the town now has a population of over 12,000. Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing. Flanked by a dramatic mountain range, Sierra Almijara, to the east, the town has, fortunately, managed to avoid being blighted by the concrete high-rise scenario which has been the inevitable result of the tourist boom in some of the coastal resorts. The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums, on which a canary can sometimes be heard singing... However, the heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcón de Europa, the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of the great Moorish castle, with sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes here to choose from, and the visitor can hire a horse-drawn carriage to explore the most romantic corner of the town. The town's monuments include the 17th century Church of El Salvador, in a style which is a charming mixture of baroque and Moorish, or mudéjar, and the beautiful Gardens of Capistrano Playa, which descend to Burriana Beach. However, Nerja's most spectacular attraction is undoubtedly its fascinating caves, located just three kilometres from the centre of town. They include archaeological treasures such as paintings over 20,000 years old and other pre-historic remains. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are staged during the summer.

"A spacious villa that is new, clean and very nicely furnished. Stunning views to the coast and mountains from all bedrooms and in particular the large master suite. The other big attraction is that it is within walking distance of Frigiliana village (an energetic 15min walk). Would definitely recommend, although older guests should note that there are many steps given that the villa is spread over 4 floors."

we thought the villa was excellent - catered for 6 adults and 3 children with no problems. Everything clean and working so no complaints at all. Pool was superb - and very well used. Location of villa was also excellent with several meals taken up in town and the stroll back not too arduous. Would recommend villa to others. Steve and Kate (local reps) very helpful, esp when we locked the only key in the outer annexe! Overall, very good two weeks.
