It is just a three-minute walk from the famous Burriana Beach, and has bars, restaurants, pharmacies, grocery stores, etc. in the immediate vicinity. It is also very near to our Villa Encanto, El Califa 3 Apartment and many other of our villas in the Parador area.

Villa Rayo de Sol has all bedrooms on the ground floor - the king-size master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and French windows out to the pool area, two twin bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Stairs lead up to the kitchen and open plan living and dining area with two large French windows out to the large terrace with amazing views down over Burriana Beach - fantastic for a barbecue with an amazing view!

The villa has its own private garage with direct access to the property. Outside there is a private swimming pool (5.3 x 2.3 m, depths 0.55m - 1.3m) and terrace/gardens with six sun beds.

All rentals include bed linen and towels which are changed weekly for stays over 10 nights. End of stay cleaning is also included. We have a range of optional services available at an additional cost and subject to availability - including welcome food packs, cots, highchairs, beach towels, additional housekeeping, taxi transfers and pets (on request) ...

Nerja really does offer something for everyone – whether wandering around the typically Spanish streets of whitewashed houses and the famous Balcón de Europa, shopping in the lively commercial area, enjoying the many water sports available at one of our amazing beaches, hiking in the incredible Sierra Almijara or making the most of free tapas still served with drinks in most bars – you’ll never be bored!

The local caves – Cueva de Nerja – and the neighbouring hillside “Pueblo Blanco”, Frigiliana, are incredible must-sees during your stay. Further afield but within easy reach there are waterparks, aquariums, zoos, golf courses, the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountain range with fabulous skiing over the winter months and the beautiful Andalusian cities of Málaga, Seville, Cordoba and Granada. Nerja has a great network of public transport – or you can hire a car to discover the area at your own pace.

Property Reviews

Had a great holiday in Nerja again. Our stay at Rayo del sol from July 5 to the 11 th could not have been better

We had a lovely time in Nerja and Rayo del Sol is a lovely villa that suited the 5 of us perfectly. It is in a wonderful spot with an easy walk both to the beach and the town.

A brilliant villa, very comfortable accommodation, when you get used to going downstairs to bed. However the upside is that the views from the large patio off the lounge are magnificent overlooking Burriana Beach and the sweep of the coastline down towards Salobrinna. The swimming pool is quite small but ideal for just cooling down but not big enough for serious swimming but not really a problem when the first of 5 beaches is just a couple of minutes away

We enjoyed the accommodation and location immensely.

What a fantastic place, what a view, an ideal location for the beach and a flat short walk into the town and a perfect spot for celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and our friends 60th birthday.

You also arranged our airport transfers and once again this worked perfectly. The transport was comfortable and the drivers were prompt, courteous and helpful. We wouldn’t hesitate to take advantage of this service again and look forward to booking a return visit through you in future.       Paul Moorhouse - 24/7/2019

Location Information

Nerja is on the seashore some 50 kilometres from Málaga on the N340 coastal highway, and marks the eastern tip of Málaga's Costa del Sol. Once a sleepy fishing village, the town now has a population of over 12,000. Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing. Flanked by a dramatic mountain range, Sierra Almijara, to the east, the town has, fortunately, managed to avoid being blighted by the concrete high-rise scenario which has been the inevitable result of the tourist boom in some of the coastal resorts. The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums, on which a canary can sometimes be heard singing. However, the heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcón de Europa, the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of the great Moorish castle, with sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes here to choose from, and the visitor can hire a horse-drawn carriage to explore the most romantic corner of the town. The town's monuments include the 17th century Church of El Salvador, in a style which is a charming mixture of baroque and Moorish, or mudéjar, and the beautiful Gardens of Capistrano Playa, which descend to Burriana Beach. However, Nerja's most spectacular attraction is undoubtedly its fascinating caves, located just three kilometres from the centre of town. They include archaeological treasures such as paintings over 20,000 years old and other pre-historic remains. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are staged during the summer.
